TOURISM TAX 2017

Kindly be informed that the Government of Malaysia will be imposing Tourism Tax effective from 1st September 2017.

All tourists staying in hotels and resorts are required to pay the tax at the rate of RM10 per room per night. Exemption of tax is applicable for Malaysian nationals or permanent residents of Malaysia holding a valid MyPR card.

The tax is payable at the reception counter and a receipt will be issued by the resort on behalf of the Government of Malaysia.
